The USA annihilated Saint Kitts and Nevis 6-0 in their Gold Cup clash on Wednesday night.
They raced into a 4-0 lead with Dorde Mihailovic opening the scoring inside the first 12 minutes and Bryan Reynolds netting just two minutes later.
B.J. Callaghan’s team were four goals to the good within just 25 minutes as Jesus Ferreira notched two goals in the 16th and then nine minutes later.
The quickfire goalfest came after the USMNT were held to a 1-1 tie by Jamaica in their opening group game of the tournament over the weekend.

Mihailovic smashed the ball into the net from close range while Reynolds scored a fine volley from outside the area.
The USA inflicted no further damage on their opponents in the first half but they were 5-0 up early on in the second period.
Ferreira clinched his hat-trick five minutes after the break, slotting the ball home with a calm right-footed finish.

Mihailovic added his second and the team’s sixth with just over 10 minutes remaining.
The victory in St. Louis saw the USA move to the top of Group A on goal difference with Trinidad and Tobago left to play on Sunday.
Similar to the team’s 2021 Gold Cup run, the USA selected an almost entirely new squad following their Nations League triumph.
Callaghan also made seven changes to the team that was held by Jamaica, who sit second in the group following a 4-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago earlier in the day.
